Upon graduating from Camberwell Grammar School with exceptional results in both VCE English and Latin, Ray began to tutor students in both subjects and help them foster an effective and efficient strategy to studying. Ray understands the challenges that students face when mastering English. By using his experience in writing polished text responses and argument analysis to ensure that his students achieve a deep understanding of what examiners are looking for such as authorial intent, intended audience impact and a well-considered variety of literary techniques. As an accomplished debater, public speaker and semi-finalist of the A-grade Victorian debating competition, Ray has experienced the importance of effective English and strives to assist his own students to achieve similar proficiency in the language to achieve not only high marks but to gain invaluable communication skills for the future.
