Josh van de Ven

Having been teaching VCE English Language and German since 2019 with over 500 hours of teaching experience, Josh is passionate about languages. Josh graduated as dux of his school with an ATAR of 99.85 and perfect study scores of 50 in English Language and History: Revolutions. His tertiary education focuses on the study of Linguistics, Russian, and Mandarin Chinese, and Josh is awarded as a Dean’s Honours List student at the University of Melbourne, where his most recent research has examined epistemic grammar and the syntax of subordination in indigenous Australian languages. Outside of teaching and academics, Josh is also a passionate naturalist and musician, having been involved in several wildlife research and recording/performance projects over the past few years.
