Christina Zhou

Christina graduated with a double degree in Journalism and International studies from the University of Technology, Sydney. She is currently a digital editor at a major Australian media organisation. She leads a team of journalists who report on international news and multicultural affairs. She regularly provides constructive feedback on news articles, features and video content and helps her colleagues develop their story ideas. Prior to her editor role, she worked as a digital journalist and as a property reporter with Domain at The Age.
After graduating from Burwood Girls High School, she freelanced as a private tutor for primary and secondary students in Sydney, Melbourne and in Shanghai since 2007. Christina forms enduring relationships with her students and still maintains contact with some students she taught more than a decade ago. Both in her work as a journalist and educator, she has worked with people from diverse backgrounds and age groups. She is confident in building an inclusive learning environment where students feel supported intellectually and academically. Christina can speak conversational Mandarin and Shanghainese.
