Having taught since 2023, Carol is determined in guiding, challenging and inspiring students in their personal growth, not only in their pursuit of academic excellence in VCE English but also in developing nuanced perspectives, creativity and a lifelong appreciation for literature and effective communication. Having received two MGGS annual best writer awards consecutively, as well as the VCE English academic excellence and the annual best mentor award at a prior tuition institute, Carol has developed astute insights into literature and text response essay writing, whilst demonstrating her authorial flair in creative essay writing. In recent years, Carol has pursued advanced university studies in creative writing, English literature, ancient archaeology and history, in which she is dedicated to integrating the in-depth insights gained from these disciplines into her classes, fostering a deeper understanding of texts, context, and critical analysis.

During her lessons, Carol focuses on nurturing her students’ curiosity, passion and scrutiny of the author’s intent. Carol also places great emphases on the technical languages and essay writing fundamentals which will equip students with the skills to craft clear, compelling, and well-structured arguments, enabling them to excel in their academic studies and beyond.
