Carlyn graduated with a Master of Teaching from the University of Melbourne in 2010 and began her career teaching in senior secondary schools before founding her own education initiatives in 2017. With more than 16 years of experience teaching VCE English and EAL, alongside nearly a decade teaching IB English Literature and Language & Literature, Carlyn is known for empowering students to think critically, write with clarity and express ideas with conviction.

Guided by the belief that language shapes how we see the world and our place within it, Carlyn’s teaching goes far beyond exam preparation. She challenges students to engage deeply with literature, develop intellectual independence and discover the confidence to articulate their own voice. Through rigorous thinking, authentic writing and reflective learning, her students consistently exceed expectations in both academic achievement and personal growth.

Under Carlyn’s leadership and personalised coaching, students have achieved perfect study scores in VCE and top scores in IB English. Many have gone on to pursue tertiary studies at leading global institutions, including the University of Cambridge and the University of Oxford. Others have stepped onto global platforms as TEDx speakers, sharing ideas shaped by the critical thinking and communication skills they developed under her mentorship.
